Mark Meijland is a dyed-in-the-wool surveyor and has more than made his name as an All-round Surveyor (Wet & Dry) and Draft Surveyor. He has been in the business for more than 20 years and has built up a fine career over the years, varying from taking samples of iron ore and coal to checking dry cargo and ‘wet bulk’, including oils. With his knowledge and experience RVJ CI can expand the range of services nicely.

Mark already knew the complete RVJ team before he came on board. Especially the small scale of the team and the personal contacts made Mark decide to apply at RVJ Cargo Inspections. Fortunately, his expectations came true, because in practice it turns out that you are not a number at RVJ and that you have direct contact with all players. Opinions are valued. Even stronger, they are asked for. And that is what Mark likes. He also likes the fact that the work is done as a team. Stand in for each other? That is the most natural thing in the world.

In his spare time, Mark can really enjoy spending time with his sons, casting out the occasional fishing rod, running and working out. But he prefers to spend his time behind a barbecue preparing a large piece of meat. Slow cooking. He can spend as much as 16 hours doing that.
